The deal is for retail sales. Amazon don't stock Kobo devices in any of their meagre retail presences. Those are exclusively Kindle and related products.

Maybe they've had a recent policy or software change.

I noticed they removed themselves from the sellers list for select iPad Air models (64GB WiFi $399 and WiFi+LTE $529) instead of continuously price matching Best Buy. After the Best Buy promo pricing ended, the Air models were once again shipped and sold by Amazon.com this time at higher prices.

It appears they say to contact the manufacturer (Kobo) for warranty info. It has already been said that Kobo only honors the warranty when purchase is through Walmart or Kobo.

That's odd. So why do they allow others to buy and sell their eReaders? And what about the independent book sellers who used to (some still do) sell Kobos?

Lol, Amazon has removed themselves from the iPad 10.2" (latest model) sellers right now. Could it be because they don't want to match Best Buy's $250 pricing?
