I've had a crush on Archer ever since he was in Quantum Leap. To me, Enterprise only got better as time went by, and I'm glad they tied it up in a grand finale. I still get a bit misty when I see reruns of the speech to the newly formed Federation of Planets.

Oh, I liked Enterprise actually, I just think they should have given it a longer run. Sort of got disappointed when they canceled it.

I liked Scott Bakula as well (as an actor ) and very much enjoyed Quantum Leap. Which still has one of, if not the, best series finales in history. A tear jerker to boot.

Enterprise was basically a Trek "reboot," and IMO, a failure to everyone except Scott Bakula fans. The new movie looks about the same.

Which is not to say I won't see it... just that I will leave ALL of my knowledge of Kirk, Spock, etc, at home, locked in a soundproofed box.

That doesn't really look much like Iowa. I mean, we have some cliffs there, but not that you can drop a vintage 'Vette over. More like running it off the edge to land with a loud "plop" at the bottom.

Looks like a fun movie to me. I might just go to see it.

I've never been much of a Trek purist ... but then, a now deceased extended family member was the man who created Spock's ears .... so even as a child, I had a firm handle on it all being made up, and therefore subject to change and interpretation.

I really wanted Voyager to shift into movie making mode when the series ended. Alas. It really deserved it because in my opinion it was the best series since the original.

On the subject of the upcomingg JJ Trek, I thought the trailer was quite exciting and I can allow myself some hope of liking the movie. I love Star Trek, and am quite eager and willing to see young Kirk and Spock and get some backstory adventures.

To be honest, while I though Enterprise started out goofy, IMO it seemed to have found its legs and was getting really good by the final season. In the Mirror Darkly has become one of my my favorite trek episodes in general.

For all my criticism, I'll probably still end up enjoying the movie. Just as long as they don't reduce the characters to one dimensional cut outs.

Oh. My. God. What have they done to Star Trek?! And, yeah, let's see some Voyager out there!
