You can watch saved movies using Beta Player, you CAN use any photo for a wallpaper. Go to yout Today settings, check "Use this picture" then browse to it. Easy as that!

Lexkartel,

Can't help with TV content or special file formats. But for DVDs, try DVDecrypter or Smartripper to rip and PocketDivXEncoder to encode. And BetaPlayer to play. And I think a graphics accelerator for the VGA Dell x50v is available also. All free! You can also download free old movies. See Watch PC Movies The Easy Way

I use BetaPlayer, and it's great. Plays divx (mpeg4 + mp3) on my Toshiba e405 with no problem. One of the best features seems trivial - I can start the movie and fill up the landscape screen just by tapping the video. And I pause it and go back to the main console in portrait by another tap on the screen. Just wish that (1) the playlist had an option to delete the file without going to file explorer to do it, and (2) you could enter a time to jump directly to in the file.

1) http://betaplayer.corecodec.org/
2) It is built in! Just enjoy it.
3) If you want to get email from a source other than your hotsync outlook, then all you do is to setup a mail account just as you would for a desktop machine.

Yes... all you need to do is have activesync installed and outlook. Probably that's already done if you are syncing your appointments. From outlook you can set up mail accounts. All you need is your server addresses from your ISP. Check out this thread for more info...

Hello everyone
I did the update and it messed up everything. I could not access my e-mail no mater what. Then when I uploaded my settings before I did the update it worked fine. Is dell going to do anything about this service update.
