Thx again.

The answer to that would be...probably, for an unknown length of time.

Despite their advertisements, no ebook seller promises to hold your books forever. Many of us have purchased books from other sellers who no longer exist and have lost those books - or an arrangement was made to transfer them to another seller, but not all could be duplicated.

As an example, Sony used to sell ebooks, and transferred all its customers to Kobo. I think most of my books transferred over, but not all (I had a lot of early "freebie" crap that I didn't really mind losing).

Yep, anything that Sony only sold in the proprietary LRF format and never made available in EPUB has been lost. I don't recall if any EPUB books failed to transfer.

microsoft are also exiting ebook sales, but allegedly are offering refunds. You did save all your receipts didn;t you

de-drm everyhing you buy and make your own backups, like the man said

& if its not de-drm able , think before you buy.
e.g. I own several TV series in amazon video and it would be an immense hassle to crack those, But I paid with amazon no-rush credits, not real money, so I accept the risk of someday losing them.
