Oh, you might also want to watch for books with an extra "space" character before each paragraph/carriage return. You wouldn't think it would matter, but every now and again, those extra characters wrap to the next line. So when you're reading, it looks like you have an extra blank row in the book that isn't really there...

10 point (Times New Roman) seems to be the default size for many ebooks, and is the default used by Calibre; this seems to have been chosen so it is a comfortable size when viewing even on the small size on the Reader. But that means medium and large zooms are too large, and you get very few words per page. So I am now experimenting formatting with 8 point as the base size. This is small but still readable when using the small size on the Reader. If I find it is too small I can still go to medium zoom. Otherwise what is the point of the zoom if you never use it?
