So did you ever get this problem solved? All of a sudden I am having the same problem on vista home premium with the same symptoms. It used to work... Ive done all the suggestions in this and other threads... Grr. It ticks me off almost enough to sell and get a kindle 2...

Have you tried Sony support for help? I am running it on Vista 64 bit home premium with no issues.

Lightbulb Workaround for eBook Library not appearing on Vista

I have a workaround for this problem which works on my Sony Vaio with Vista.

I noticed that if my 3G modem was disconnected upon rebooting, then the ebook library magically appeared. You can then connect the internet and everything works fine.

I have also replicated this with my wireless network at home with the same results; if there is an active internet connection upon PC startup then the library remains invisible, if there is no internet connect then it works!

I'm not sure why this works - perhaps Sony checks to make sure you are from a valid country ie US/ Canada/ UK before allowing the application to appear visible.

Regards,

Andrew
