So, if we'd stayed pagan then we'd probably all be complaining of the commercialisation of Saturnalia, or of the Sol Invictus festival.

On my whish-list is a Canon EOS 5D Mark II. Of course, I'd have to live several billion lifetime reincarnations worth of my average daily contribution of "nice" to overcome my significant "naughty" deficit to earn enough points for one of them. So, instead, I'm wishing for a KitchenAid Stand Mixer in the hope that the fat, bearded bugger in the red pyjamas hasn't been paying attention this year. If he has occasionally been paying attention, I'm hoping his tolerant forgiveness will extend to a couple of two-dollar scratchies. If the nasty little peeping-tom pervert has been keeping a close eye, I'm hoping he doesn't give me leprosy of the bunghole.

One of these would be nice though:

I want now too!

Despite having gone all digital.

Almost all digital - I still have a TLR (Minolta Autocord) that takes 120 roll film

Off Topic: Speaking of cameras, we went to the opening of a new country/western bar Friday night, where Tim's cousin's band is the bar band. Opening night and I forgot my camera! Me! Mrs. Shutterbug herself! So I ran into Walgreens and got a disposable camera. Nearly forgot how to use film. Almost all of the photos turned out OK, but not as good as with my digital. I'll post the link later, after I get them uploaded.

Back on topic: I wish for travel accessories that are actually useful. At another birthday party last night (celebrated a whole week this year!), I got a body-hugger travel purse. Very nice, from a luggage store. I was delighted! Got it home, tried it out - everything fit except the car keys and my reader. If I could do without the makeup and hairbrush, it would work. Darn.

It's red I'd want too. We've just recently got the red food-processor.

I've a few cameras (The Professor, Ginger, Flipper, Bender, Professor Frink, Lovey, and so on...) but tend to mostly use digital now (aside from the Voigtlander R3A and the Polaroid 636 Closeup...and I just bought that Oly Pen S half-frame too). I do however, like you, have a TLR as well, called "Bitey" (he's a Yashica Mat 124). Processing 120, or getting it processed, is too much of a PITA around these parts, so the Blackbird, fly looks pretty good to me, as someone who has always liked the look of square format too, and thus likes the idea of composing in square format (gotta love Michael Kenna, hey?).

Cheers,
Marc
