I don't blame them for having a 15 day limit.

My primary concern is the light bleed issue which should be evident within 1 day, much less fifteen. For that alone, I liked knowing I could take it back to a local store for refund. With any other model, I wouldn't have an issue ordering from Canada. But ordering the Clara felt like a crapshoot.

BTW Dr Drib lives in San Borja (Lima), Peru .... 1 Are there even Walmarts in Peru? 2 Do they even sell the Kobo? I thought that was for the USA Walmarts only.
To be clear, I was responding to RAFS.

The good Dr. should of course order from wherever is most cost efficient. Does some local business sell Kobos? If so, might it be cheaper there?

No one actually carries a Kobo (that I've been able to determine). I can order from a few 'services' here and be charged about $100 additional. But I'm not going to go that route.

Walmart doesn't have them in store so you cant just walk in & pick one up. You have to order them thru their web.

Yeah, that's probably what I'll do. My sister can pick it up, and there won't be any shipping cost to her.

I ordered mine delivered to my house rather than picking up at the store. Shipping was free. I ordered on a Wednesday and it arrived Thursday.

Wow, that's a fantastic sale. Not available in Canada, alas. Well, to be honest, I can't afford a new e-reader right now at any price, and don't need one. Still, great sale... :-P

I ordered my Clara HD two weeks ago from Wal-Mart when it was still $130. I saw via this thread that it went on sale for $100, so I contacted a customer service agent at Walmart.com and asked if they would be willing to give me a price adjustment refund. The agent agreed! I got an email saying I would be getting a $30 refund back to my credit card.

Dunno if it that will work for anyone else, but if your Kobo is still within the return window (30 days), it might!

Hey, thanks for that. I'll give it a go.

EDIT: Worked for me too!

It means that the LED lights are making visible small cones of light on the edges where the LEDs are situated.

(I don't own this unit, so anyone - please feel free to amplify upon this.)
