As I recently wrote in this or another thread, as of version 3.30 (August 24 2018) calibre stopped creating the default library in the Documents directory, it now creates it in the users Home directory. But that's for new installs, not updates to existing installs - updates leave everything as is.

This was discussed and resolved back in August last year. There's a thread about it somewhere.

I've installed calibre for a number of friends and library reading club members. I always set them up with their default library as %USERHOME%\Calibre\Libraries\Books. To my mindset an ebook library is no more a document, than a music album is a document

I also relocate their configuration folder to %USERHOME%\Calibre\Configuration. For users who use Autoadd I create a %USERHOME%\Calibre\Autoadd folder. And lastly I configure their backup process to mirror %USERHOME%\Calibre\ - in its entirety.

Where is your library now?

If you move it into C:\Users\User\Documents\Calibre Library you are moving it to a location that Onedrive will copy unless you take steps to stop it.

in Windows 1809 MS put Documents into Onedrive's default list of folders to replicate, they could do it again in Windows 1904/09...

My library is here now: C:\USERS\US2\Calibre Library on my computer HP.

And on my laptop Asus: C:\USERS\US2\Documents\Calibre Library

For the both, same W10 and same "Calibre"....and not same place for "Calibre Library" strange, no ??

No!
The FIRST install DATE was different and Kovid changed the rules to be more friendly to W10 changes.

You can just MOVE the Library folder on the Asus to be the same place as the HP (newer rules)
Calibre must be not running when you do this
When you restart Calibre, you might get a Library Missing message: Simply select Create/Switch (on the Library Icon): Use Existing:<point to the new location>

Currently, I keep the Calibre Library on my HP computer (C:\USERS\US2\Calibre Library), because actually that's where I have no problem, but I don't see why I should change the place on my ASUS laptop, as ALL works fine: which proves that something else is happening .....

Anyway, I will uninstall Calibre from my laptop because I only did it to see how it went ... and I saw!

And I reconfirm that "OneDrive" is NOT enabled

But, hey, it doesn't matter: the main thing being to have understood what there is to do in case of problems ...
