sickel is monitoring for hung services on the device. If your books are perfectly formatted, you won't see a hang. For those using not-so-good books, then then the device can hang and because there is no other interaction, you don't know what is happening. And a lot of people wouldn't know what to do. sickel is for those senarios.

ok i understand the logic/working of the sickel feature which is fine but i'd prefer it to be a user defined choice option on/off in the settings of the firmware. although i'm fully aware that i'm probably in the minority for that to be the case.
