I watched Flash Gordon again just a few months ago. How can you not love it! Musical score played on a synthesizer. The shoulder pads in dresses had their own shoulder pads. Dale Arden cheerleads while Flash plays some sort of Mongonian football. "Go Flash Go!"

I've got the soundtrack running in my head now. And I like it!

Well, the only good thing that can be said about is the soundtrack, since it was made by Queen, and they ARE my all time favourite band.

Apart from that, horrendous, horrendous movie, just for allt those reasons you said. Not to mention the immensly cheezy FX of the hawkmen

(*) Anyway, beachballs of that size are not cheap, even second hand.
