Sorry to hijack a concluded thread, but would something like this be possible with the left (Find your next great read) element as well?
For example, I sideload all my books and don't really need this thing sticking around. Having pocket on the right and the stats element on the left, or vice versa, would be perfect! Is such a thing possible, or is that particular element fixed? |

I just registered to have Alanon's question asked again; any chance to get rid of/replace that "find your next great read" Kobo Store link in Row3Col1? I use my new Kobo for only two things: read sideloaded eBooks and my Pocket articles, I faked a Kobo Account (via SQL-Input) just to use this device and don't want/need any Kobo Store functionality. Your workaround to use parental controls does get rid of the Kobo Store link, but also disables Wikipedia-lookup of words, removes Pocket from the mainmenu and so on. Moreover: I don't want to childproof my own device from myself to get rid of unneeded shop-links. ![]() Great solution: Replace the Kobo store link in Row3Col1 with Pocket and keep the smartlink-spot (Row3Col2) configurable (i.e. for stats). Even better solution: Being able to remove Row3 completely and have the Pocket-link hardcoded to the position of Row2Col2, where without a real Kobo account only useless reading suggestions are shown. Thanks geek1011 and others for every insight into this problem! ![]() |

No way to patch out the useless My Books and last used Collection row AND remove the two bottom entries but extend 1st row to fill the screen?
My Books and Collections are on the menu. I only use the top row. I've never used the Kobo store to purchase; I browsed it once to see what the books we publish look like on it ![]() |

*note* this is my remembrance of a post I read in passing some time ago, I didn't pay much attention because it's not a feature I care about. The phrasing is mine, and the "worth" is of course subjective but as Geek would be doing the work the math is whatever he says. |
