Thank you for that comparison. I had been comparing the price in Pounds, rather than Euros. It appears that the Gen3 is abnormally cheap when priced in Pounds at present.

That's great! - at least you get the possibility to get it cheaper.

Pitty W. H. Smith does not sell to outside the UK, right?

The only difference is that you don't get a case.
Since when? I just went to Bookeen... specified I was in the UK and the price shows as £200. US price shows as $350 and France price shows as €280.

As of right now €280 = $357. If I could get a CyBook for $224 I would certainly have moved it much higher in my consideration.

BooksOnBoard though does right now have a US$ price of $289 ($61 less than buying direct.. and I bet shipping is less). (Case and charger add $100 which seems alot)

Hi Bob,

The UK price has just increased from £180 to £200, but that includes the French VAT rate of 19.6% which, living outside the EU, doesn't apply to you.

Sadly this means the price has come down, but thanks to a very weak pound us Brits don't see the savings. If I remember correctly mine cost £235.

Anyone happen to know what the dollar price was at release, compared to how it is now?

Books on Board Cybook price now $269

I just noticed that they dropped the Cybook price again to $269, if anyone needs a push. Bookeen is still selling it for the same $350 that I paid last year.

Exactly the price B&H (per example) is selling the Sony 505.

So competition keeps being good!
