Personally, I think ChareInk is way better than Minion Pro. That's one font I could easily do without. I like ChareInk better than Georgia, but that's personal preference. Minion Pro is not personal preference. It just is awful.

Well, I suppose that's why you use ChareInk and I use Minion Pro. There's no argument worth having. I also prefer Minion Pro's matching small-caps font to the Charis small-caps.

There's quite a few other fonts I like, too: Garamond, Caslon, Linux Libertine, Baskerville ... I can happily read books in any of these. I don't dislike Charis, but I don't love it, either.

Then we get those of us who like certain fonts in print, LCD/AMOLED and eInk. Sadly it seems they aren't the same fonts in each display media.

As an aside, I've been playing with a weight-added version of Veleka as a replacement for Charis SIL due mainly to the additional Greek glyphs. I've been reading quite a few books that for some reason love Greek quotations which Charis SIL did not support well.

Are you using kepub? Unchecking headers & footers on my device with kepubs works perfectly.
