This is what happens when you have all three, cable, internet and phone, from one company, and some idiot takes out a transformer or where-ever they keep their secret power source. So now I'm wandering around the house, whimpering, feeling completely out of touch with humanity. I can't even read the newspaper, I do that online!! Husband is still sleeping, (the dog!), and the cat is too..........So, I curled up with my Kindle and lived happily ever after.........

Be thankful, I've been waiting to get my service back for a week now. And I don't have a Kindle!

Hmumpf. Try and get some sympathy around here.

Times like that, I miss my van. It had a very efficient generator, a microwave, DVD player, bathroom, and everything else you might need to wait out a power outage.

I hope its new owners are treating it well.

I guess. I just tend to think of it as a really long run of absolutely horrible luck.

One day you should write an autobiography, Ricky.
You've had an eventful life, met a lot of people and animals, and had at least two careers. Plus, you have a talent for description and a clear style.
I'd buy a copy.

Ha!! I can't even get anyone to read my blog. And that's free!! Although, I suppose I should do something before long ... you know, get it on paper before all the witnesses are dead.

More than likely, I'll just give you a copy, but you have to PROMISE not to use any of the information in it at my commitment hearing.

You could do it as an ebook. Post it here under a CC license or go commercial and maybe offer it through an on-line publisher like ... Steve Jordan Books.
