Times like that, I miss my van. It had a very efficient generator, a microwave, DVD player, bathroom, and everything else you might need to wait out a power outage.

I hope its new owners are treating it well.

One day you should write an autobiography, Ricky.
You've had an eventful life, met a lot of people and animals, and had at least two careers. Plus, you have a talent for description and a clear style.
I'd buy a copy.

You could do it as an ebook. Post it here under a CC license or go commercial and maybe offer it through an on-line publisher like ... Steve Jordan Books.
