I have been wrong about the intention of the post
and reacted too fast.
The problem is that here in Holland we are getting bombarded with
the elections and all the show around it,interesting but boring when
you don't live there.
So my general annoyance got the better of me.
Ooohh Holland, my mom lived there when she was a teenager. I wish to visit Europe one day and would love to live there for at least a year.

I just became a U.S. Citizen in August (I was born in Venezuela and have been living in the U.S. for 18 years since I was 12), it just took a bit to get it all done. So these are the first elections I pay attention to since I'm going to vote and I already hate all politicians

Surely a worthwhile biography shouldn't be either "pro" or "anti" someone. Shouldn't it simply tell the story of the person's life in an unbiased manner and leave it to the reader to form their own opinion of the person?

Apparently Newsweek is coming out with an actual biography of each of the 4 candidates (4 books total). Each will be 9.99 (technically a bargain for a biography, but it is all info from past issues) and available for the Kindle only. They are taking pre-orders with a release date of Oct 15, 2008.

When the biography is of a prominent political figure, I would expect any biography that might meet your specifications to be posthumous.

My quick issue with anything slanted in either direction is it all tends to muddy the search for reality and truth. That's what, to my mind, makes "spin" so sinister.
