Missing companion software - Page 2

Thank you very much for your replies and help. I'll try allovertheglobe's suggestion first - by loading the companion software on another PC (that doesn't have the iLiad companion loaded). If that's still a problem, then I'll go through pthwaites instructions.

I had tried loading the companion software from the SD card via my card reader, (the program offers to load itself every time I connect either SD card or DR1000 to the PC). I received the same error message via the SD card reader as trying to run it through the DR1000.

In the first instance, after you get the error. Ignore it and then just run the Companion software from the SD card as allovertheglobe suggests. IT should run.

If it doesn't it has been corrupted (heppened to me once). If that is the case. delete the companion software .exe file & run the updater. It should then try to update itself & fail (just click ok) if not connected to the irex, but then, it should download the latest PC companion software.

Alternatively, you can download the software form the irex website. It's in the downloads area as a zip file containing all the files.

The DR1000 companion software will run alongside the iLiad companion software, as I now have both programs loaded on my PC. Thanks for your help.
