You don't have an eink problem.

You have a reading close things problem, that's causing eye strain , and triggering a migraine.

I know that well, because I have it too. Check with your eye doctor or pick up some close reading glasses, and it'll solve a lot. Trust me on that. I know what you're describing

Uh... no. I'm sure you mean well, but I don't have an eyestrain problem. Optometrists who have actually seen me IRL have confirmed that.

Mmm... I've tried a few LCDs that were meant to be visible in daylight, and none of them really lived up to the advertising. I'll check out the N810 at the next opportunity, though. Thanks!

I've personally not seen a N810 in the wild so can't claim personal experience

However, I've herd from quiet a few people that it is decent. So if you can get a look you might find that you like it.

Actually quick correction to my earlier statement... The jetbook also supports PDF. Essentially, you can download non DRM'd books in .lit, ereader or another format; most have decent utilities available to convert them to html.. and then convert them to PDF. While most PDFs are A4 or 8.5"X11" and therefore are all but impossible to read on these smaller e-book readers, when you convert the work yourself, you can specify page and text size so that you get pages that fit your screen and that are readable.

Well, I thought I didn't have an eyestrain problem either, until I went to a specialist.

I went through three optometrists before I got to him. So I tend not to trust them as much as specialists, because what you're describing sounds EXTREMELY familiar.

Oh well Best.

Hi Marc,

I'm learning to do the exact thing you're describing. Only thing is--I'm still getting used to my Kindle so sometimes I guess wrong and hit the 'next page' button a little too soon. So then I have to push 'prev page' so I can go back and read the last sentence

Regards,
R.L.

Yeah, I hate that. I sit there thinking, "Hmm, it was one line; it probably wasn't important...was it? Nah, I'm sure it's something that'll become obvious as I read the first line of this new page..." then I click for the previous page, because I don't believe anything I just thought to myself.

Cheers,
Marc
