Felt the same way after reading Anathem but fortunately I have not read Snow Crash so I am about to begin. Lucky me I think

I like Snow Crash, all the more so given it was written before things like Second Life were around (which will make more sense when you start to read it).

I read Bliss Broyard's "One Drop" and Sarah Waters' "Tipping the Velvet" during the holidays. Both were good, though I wasn't drained after either. I think I was after reading "Cryptonomicon," but that was a while ago.
Now back to scribbling! |

I liked Snow Crash, but not as much as I liked The Diamond Age. I read part of the Cryptonomicon once... online, for some reason. I don't remember why it was available that way. Must have been a long excerpt available as an intro or something. It was interesting, and I might dig up a copy to finish it, but I've got other things I'll probably read first.
