It might even be the version your wife's Cybook is running that's doing it. Being from Sptember, it's probably running build 796, just like mine (I did upgrade). It didn't hang before, or at least not as often. Maybe build 796 is somewhat more prone to subtle filesystem corruption than the previous version(s).

Well, for me the latest firmware update (to 796) solved the freezing problem I had with the previous one, so I would say that only for that they are necessary.
They can also bring a few improvements, they are listed on the firmware download page.

Mine froze like that this morning as well. But just this once, I haven't had any problems with it so far... for the two times I've recharged it.


My firmware is version 802 btw.
