Please be aware that there are some resource conflicts between the Sony ebook library and Calibre, so if you have two computers, It's best to segregate the installation of these two pieces of software.
Where do you find these recipes that people are adding all the time?

The people who add the recipes do not find them, they write them themselves.

"has several newspaper feeds "built in" (and they're free!), and folks are adding new links ("recipes") all of the time." makes it sound like those links are freely available, and I found the exact opposite... other than the ones built in, there's virtually no recipes out there to get.

Like I said, you have to make the new recipes. If you have a problem with the wording, talk to Kovid, although to me it's pretty straightforward.

That being said, calibre comes with a very fair number of built-in recipes. If you really need a recipe for some other site, you could always make it yourself. The instructions can be found here. Also, check out the calibre forum on this site for more help with the program.

About 40% of the built-in recipes originated as recipes that users created at one time or the other.

I am having the problem I used to have all the time. Since I am trying to use the MAC version and not use the Sony EBook Software, when I go to open the Feeds on my 505 it crashes my reader. I put 6 feeds on and 4 have crashed it.
When going through the Sony software on a PC that doesn't seem to happen as much.

I grabbed the new version.

You mean manually convert correct? Download the Feed and then do a manual conversion to the Epub format and then drag that to my Reader Drive on my Mac?

I have the epub output set and connected my reader. When I select to send to my Device, it starts the job and then does not add it to the device.

I will try that. First I have to uninstall and reinstall the Application. It will no longer load on my Mac at all.

I reinstalled the application after deleting the old one that wasn't starting up. And the Feeds loaded perfectly and look great on my 505, at least the two I am reading now. Great stuff!
I wonder why the the application wouldn't start up before the reinstall.
