What do you suggest?

Could split the PD and Free Section, but what else besides Baen would go under the Free but not PD label.

I don't want to put too much info on it as otherwise it'll become unreadable.

Well, Here is the US Version (with the Kindle and other stores modified).

Also Implemented JSWolf's suggestion of separating Baen from the PD book sites.

Have a look.

It looks good. It's simple and covers the basics.

Two suggestions:

1) You probably want to use Munseys instead of Blackmask. The site is now called Munseys, and while Blackmask still resolves to it, it may not in the future.

2) How about something other than Comic Sans as the font?

Good. As it happens, it wasn't properly resolving a couple of weeks ago, but the site owner was in Taiwan at the time and couldn't log on to the registrar's site to make the correction.

<shrug> Depends on what you have. In Sans Serif, Trebuchet, Verdana, and Calibri are possible choices. (So is Arial, but I prefer honest-to-God Helvetica if I want that look, instead of a knock-off.)

I just have a personal allergy to "novelty" fonts. My rule of thumb on adding fonts is "Would I set a block of body copy in this font?", and if the answer is "No", I'll think hard about keeping it around.

I think Comic Sans is a great choice. (Dom Casual would also work well.) It keeps it informal and makes the presentation more casual and les threatening. A lot of the people that will receive the cards may be techno-phobic and while the fonts that you mention Dennis are great fonts, we want people to relax and enjoy the concept and I am afraid that a mor formal font will put them off. Just my three and a half cents worth. (Inflation you know.)

Like I said, I have an allergy to novelty fonts. Part of the issue with Comic Sans is that because it's provided with Windows, you see it everywhere, whether it's an appropriate choice or not.

If bbusybookworm wants to use Comic Sans, fine by me. I'm not the one making the cards and handing them out. I'm just a typography maven and font collector with opinions.

I do have to ask what is "formal" or "threatening" about any of the fonts I mentioned. Sans Serif is widely enough used that I doubt it will put off even the most ardent technophobe.

I’m not sure if you’re willing to take it this far, but since you are showing the enthusiasm and ability to create this card, you could also create your own personal web page, blog, myspace page, or whatever.

You could then add a link to this on your card as well.

This way when you obtain new and useful information in the future, instead of printing up a new card you could just update your page.

I did that with www.sitelane.com so when people ask me for ebook information, I just send them to that site.
