I would get the dark gray if I get another. I normally get black, but the merlot was nice for a change.

I got the blue/indigo fabric cover with mine, but I'm using a CaseBot cover now because I got tired of the Amazon brand cover constantly coming off due to a weak magnet. I'm not seeing vinyl covers, and the fabric covers are no longer available new.

I went looking today to see what's available today, actually, because I keep getting loose threads from the edge of the Casebot cover.

Given the cost I would invest in a cover that covers the entire device. I got a fintie on ebay for $8 if I am on carpeting I like to read out of case but i use a cover in public
