Nope wont make it. tho I am on the East Cost... Every time I order anything from China it take 20 Days! I Kid you not! I ordered a Cell phone case Dec 1st got it Dec 20th 2017. I think it was like 15 days before it was scan as being in the US.

I'm no engineer but does the Paperwhite hang if you're reading with the device plugged into an electrical outlet? If it doesn't, it would make me think battery.

The solution, for me, is a no brainer. The newer Paperwhites are better than the first edition anyway. I didn't wait for my Paperwhite One to die. Of course, a friend is still mourning the death of her Paperwhite One because she used it to play games that won't play on the newer Paperwhite or her Voyage.

personally i have no idea what the root cause.

sometime after reboot i can use.

sometime i have to reboot by hold the power button and after reboot screen still hang.

@steven168 I suggest giving Amazon a call and tell them that your Kindle is not working properly and find out what they can do for you. Sometimes they may give a discount an a new one when your old one is not working properly.
