It did work for my daughter. She has Prime.

I can't recall using such Amazon promotions before, but maybe I did years ago and forget.

I am not eligible even though I've never bought a Kindle book nor redeemed any kind of Amazon promotion ever. I am in the US and I've only had a Kindle for about 3 months.

I tried first to get the offer on our account.

We don't live in the same household -- or town. We do sometimes use her account to get something shipped to us that is under $25, but Amazon presumably doesn't punish the people their customers buy gifts for
