I'm going to try it tomorrow and then convert LRF to PDB and then PRC
http://www.processtext.com/abcsonylrf.html It still brings the question: For Calibre to produce a full-feed output file, it has to get the feed from somewhere. If Calibre can get the full feed, why can't Kindlefeeder do the same? It makes no sense that the Sony can get user-make full-feed newspaper while the Kindle cannot. It's not something that's tied to a device, it's something that's tied to the content available. |

Let me rephrase the question. There are programs like KindleFeeder that take feeds and output in Kindle format. If Calibre can grab full-content feeds, that means that they are available out there, and they can be input into KindleFeeder.
So my question is where to find these full-feed RSS links to enter into KindleFeeder ![]() |

calibre doesn't use rss feeds for content. As I said in my forst post, there are very few newspapers that make full content available in RSS feeds. Calibre only takes the links to the full articles from feeds/index pages and goes and converts them.

Ooohhh so let's say I have a page full of feeds, it follows each link on each feed and gets the whole thing? That's cool
![]() If what you're saying is that it will grab and download every single article on those feeds and add links and everything to them and I can add my own feeds, then I'll be in heaven. LRF->PDB->PRC can be easily done. |

yeah calibre has a framework for creating "recipes" to download your own news sources, and a built-in recipe to download the new york times. There's a section in the user manual about creating your own recipes. Enjoy.

Tried and didn't like Kindlefeeder and Calibre. However I did find a great alternative - Mobipocket Reader, of all places. NYT has complete articles. One button updates all the feeds and places them in the Kindle. I have about 200 feeds now. It is awesome. I'll keep The Reader's Digest but I have to see how Time compares (they have free feeds). I have to compare Cognitive Daily and The Daily Kos and see if I can cancel those subscriptions, and I'm cancelling the NYT. The newest edition supports the Kindle wonderfully and with literally one click, updates all feeds and sends them over.
