That's the CC-CV lithium charging scheme kicking in. Constant current until the cell reaches the maximum voltage and then the current tapers off in order to maintain that voltage for the rest of the charge. Once the current reaches zero the cell is charged.

Thanks for the info on the chargers.

There are 5 wall plates so 10 outlets in the kitchen. The two outlets behind the refrigerator are pretty much inaccessible but the other 8 are in use. The joys of having an electrician in the family when we decided to renovate the kitchen -- no more blowing a breaker when the kids decided to make toast and hot chocolate at the same time.

Kitchen plugs! Volts! Gosh.

My goal here is to use a single adapter to power everything at the same time where everything is a TP25 (3.42A @ 19V), phone (3A @ 5V USB C), two packedpixels (1.5A @ 5V) and the Aura One (??A @ 5V) from a single adapter and I found a 90W adapter with two 2.4A ports and if the Aura One is capped at .9A max then I could use one 2.4A port with a passive Y cable to power that and one of the packedpixels.

You could do that, but it would probably be better to get a 2+A usb charger with two ports. I have several of those. For a while, they were selling chargers with one 1A port and one 2A port.

The problem with that and other similar USB chargers is that nice bright LED light that can be rather annoying. I suggest (I have 2 of them) an Ikea 3-port USB charger that does not have an LED light and is not annoying.

Well now, the bright led comes in handy if you want to read on a very basic kindle or Kobo in the dark.
