Questions about Sigil INI - Page 2

Hey all, what a lot of info popped up in all these replies!

Thanks for the option of deleting clipboard history in newer versions --- one more reason I MUST stop procrastinating and upgrade! I guess because the "Undo" cache seems to empty each time you Save in Sigil, I assumed any clipboard history was wiped out at that time as well (if I thought about it all...)

@KevinH --- For some reason, my Monaco Monospace font does not show up in the drop-down. So I have just got in the habit of handling it manually.

Most likely the font is missing a flag that marks it as a mono-spaced font. Where did you download your version from?

It has been so many years, I don't remember. A link I got from a forum discussion of monospace fonts, but I can't even remember what forum. I guess I should try to find another download.

I have to note also, that for some reason in my Win8.1, it just refuses to delete fonts or over-write existing fonts. I have tried many times to remove various fonts, and it will not do it. Been so long since I tried, I can't remember if there was an "access denied" message or anything.

From what I can discern, Monaco Monospace is an old Apple font that has never been open-sourced (I don't think it even ships with a new Apple computer any more). You likely have one of the knockoffs that were based on the original (most certainly if you're using it on Windows). It may just be a matter of tweaking the font's flags with something like FontForge to get Qt to recognize it as a monospaced font.
