I don't recall going way back, but with the 6S and 6S Plus they still sell both a 32GB and 128GB model so I guess in a way they stopped some. They dropped the 16 & 64 GB models and replaced them with a 32GB version then kept the 128GB version. There have been some good sales though. I just set my mother up with a brand new 32GB 6S (she has no need for a 7 was coming from a 5) for a little over $300.

You're right - same in the UK store. I wonder if they're still making them, or just selling off old stock? I know in the past when I've looked at the Apple Store, the options available on the non-current model have been extremely restricted.

I used an Otterbox case with previous devices, and loved the protection. With my 7+ I switched to a Lifeproof case....it's an equivalent level of protection but much thinner.

Although I always keep my readers in cases, for whatever reason I've never done so with phones. My iPhone lives in my pocket along with coins, keys, etc. Although, after three years, if I look at the screen obliquely when the phone's turned off, I see a myriad of very fine lines on the screen, they're totally invisible when the phone's turned on. The screen really is pretty tough!

So my 7+ has a Speck Grip case, my favorite case by far, and a tempered glass screen protector. I stick my phone in my rear pocket a lot also. We still use the 4s, for the grandkids to play MARIO Run, and Stack. I can’t believe how small it is. ![]() |

My phone is in this case http://www.speckproducts.com/apple/i...SABEgK6HvD_BwE but no screen protector. I very much dislike anything on the screen of my devices.

Love my 7+...it is my everything mobile device. Great for reading, etc.
Yes it is larger than the 7, etc. but having to carry only one mobile device is worth it. |

How do you cope with the battery though? I prefer carrying 2 devices than not being able to use my phone because I don`t have enough battery for reading. Accept if you don`t have a power bank ready to use, but the constant charging can damage your battery life in the long run. So I will make the compromise and carry 2 devices.

Hopefully, the new chargers are more robust and more forgiving. |

The recharging issue was was with the older style rechargeable batteries that you had to deep discharge every so often. The newer batteries don't have that issue. Some of the 6 family had issues with batteries, but that was a manufacturing issue with a specific factory. The iPhone 6 plus with the cracked screen had such a battery and Apple replaced it free of charge. The other one still has the original battery. |
