The Galaxy S5 is the last of a dying breed. That is, it has a user replaceable battery. You'd be amazed what a new battery can do to your charge life. I'm keeping mine at least 2 more years.

One Last question . . .
I've never used screen protectors on my PRS 300 or on my Android tablet, and have never had a scratch, phones are different, they always seem to wind up in the pocket with my keys.

Yet I see screen protectors sold for the PW, my inclination is to not buy them; but I wondered what the consensus is on this issue?

Me either. But then I don't use them on any of my devices, even phones. Still, I think it's not a good idea to use screen protectors on e-ink. They would lessen the clarity and readability of the screen. If you intend to take your PW out of the house, get a decent cover for it instead.

You'll only get that picture if you let your battery run down so far that you need to charge before you can read again.
