Now don't get me wrong I really have no need for that many books and it was only an experiment. But the processor is obviously just not good enough for that sort of quantity.

So will get a smaller card and this one can go back as a spare for the psp.

I have the Bookeen CyBook with a 2GB card (the largest it will take). It currently has 1585* books on it, and takes 122 seconds to get from turning on to the library screen. The number of books seems to make no difference to the speed when reading books or moving around the library screens.

I also don't use a card. My 505 is pretty much full at 38 collections, 386 books. I'd gladly use my 8gb card for my entire library, but the lack of folders on the Sony renders cards useless IMO.

I know, llasram made it clear. Still, the problem was with erasing books from collections, I think, and this is solved with the new firmware, that let's you erase straight away.

And even if it didn't work with collections at all, it is still an extremely useful tool for the rest of the books. I use collections, but by far not all the time. Besides, this could be bypassed by loading the books of the collection as independent units. Just a little compromise.

Of course, each of us uses the reader a different way and what is not an issue for one could be for another.

I consider this an emergency tool, for traveling or moving while working. I seldom have more than 20 books on my reader. But I am glad there is one.

Hi Jeff,

Excuse my ignorance but what do you mean?

You have collections which are a form of folder aren't they? I have some collections which are just to put the photography books all in one place.

Regards
