PW-3 lights visible

Another plus for the Voyage, my favorite device. My PW 2 didn't have lights or shadows either.

Not true. You can see the lights on a PW1 and a PW2 if you hold it at the right angle.

When holding it in a position to read, the only way shadows or lights should bother someone, I did not see them on my PW 2. I did see them on my PW 1.

I meant that you can see the lights on all PW models if you hold it at an acute angle, as per the OP's original photograph, whereas you can't see the lights on the Voyage no matter what angle you look at it from.

In my opinion, you should read at the light setting that is comfortable for you. I've noticed here that some prefer next to no light and others read at full brightness. Like you I read with the light on at night and I prefer the Kindle set around 16. There is no "one size fits all". No harm however in trying a lower setting to see if it works better for you.
