You uninstall Calibre with Calibre's uninstall. Then you reinstall.

I had Luebecker's problem. Fixed it as follows:
- removed IOS and Marvin plugins via preferences
- manually deleted remnants of IOS and Marvin plugins in config\plugins
- repaired 3.1.1 via Add/Remove programs
- rebooted Windows
