Android apps can be patched...

And: the Onyx firmwares also act on the Android libraries, integrating EPD oriented techniques into apps that simply use those libraries. In clearer words: create a WebView, scroll the page: as the page is scrolled, the screen will refresh. This will work on all software (browsers, readers etc.) that may use an Android WebView.

But: I cannot find information about the Snow Field waveform. Any document, page etc.?

Storage: Kepler Pro 16GB vs 8 GB
Bluetooth: KeplerPro yes vs C67 No

There also are some differences in design. Kepler Pro has got metal alloy housing, waterproof according to http://www.hzo.com/ standard, flat panel screen (with protective Dragontrail Asahi glass layer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpbOoQpwAFs), and two physical buttons on the side edges of the device. Those buttons can be used as volume, page turn or home/back buttons.
All in all both devices are high end class reading devices, but Kepler feels a little bit more noble.

Thanks!
And how will the upcoming T68 successor differ?

Good question!
i'm also interested.
Kepler Pro seems quite too expensive to me even with the characteristics mentioned by Booxtor...

Has Onyx-Boox actually officially announced either feature? I can remember vague talk about waterproofing early on, before the Kepler Pro's name and spec-list was formally announced, but nothing since.

Where on the HZO site does it mention the Kepler Pro ("according to")? I couldn't find it.

I must admit I do very much like the screen of my K-Pro, and would not be surprised if it is Dragontrail (I haven't noticed even the most superficial of scratch-damage to it as yet).

@mdp It's very interesting what do you say about patching software for being compatible with regal refresh technology. I wrote to Onyx asking for this or any kind of info about making it compatible with other software but they just answered saying that they can not give me this information. Do you think it will be possible to achieve better results with the VNC?

In fact, this quetion is one of the principal reasons I am doubting between N96ML or Note.

To the best of my understanding, Regal is automatically applied in every screen update in devices that support it. SnowField, it was said, must be specifically enabled in each software application, which makes me presume that one should call relevant system functions in the app: in general, those calls can be injected in whatsoever app.

Well, it would look better... And, given average results, you want that (that is why I augmented bVNC with the full screen refresh ability)... And the more automated that is, the better... So all considered, it could be a game changer also in that.
