That was an error in translation.
The jail break does **not** work on 5.8.9.2

Your only choice is the serial port:

They will also show you how to turn off auto update and how to install plugins after the jailbreak , (my best plugins are Koreader vlasovsoft)

The Jailbreak still works with the last version which is 5.8.9.2 (on kindle voyage)

It is very useful and easy to understand
I sideloaded the update...bin file to the root directory but the update option is grayed out. I tried a reboot, but it's still grayed. ?????

You cannot jailbreak your PW. The translator lost the word NOT.

That is the broken translation, after: English -> Chinese -> English.

That is, the same as:
