I knew it was Frank Lloyd Wright. I studied him as an undergraduate. It's very iconic.

I did want to give credit for the home.
And
I did not want my # 13 000 to just be another "Please read the directions" type of post in the dev. forum.

The grade school I attended in my pre-teen years was a design by FLW. It was among the things he completed in the last few years of his life. It wasn't practical for its location, but it was distinctive and the school board did receive all bragging rights.

Wow I thought this thread was a joke until I saw the screen. Nice plug for the Reanimators fan continuation book; I had no idea that existed. Re-Animator is probably my favorite Lovecraft story.

Also I've owned the Oasis for only a few weeks and have already accidentally dropped it twice. Luckily only to my desk and not to a tile floor. Honestly it's kind of slippery.

I agree with "kind of slippery". I got one 4 days ago. I've been pondering whether a skin would help make it less slippery. As it is, I can only barely hold it one handed --- and that's the whole point of the device.

But I read it on the couch, with pillows propping up my hands. Holding it over my head (yeah, I know you were in bed) seems above and beyond the call of duty! It's not *its* fault that you fell asleep! Turn sideways while reading.

I really think you should send the Oasis in with the exact damage description you gave here. If Amazon does not exchange it they obviously lack a sense of humour. A screen should really withstand falling on semi-soft objects from a height of a foot or two and not suffer damage

I'm not certain my nose would be considered semi-soft, since my wife insists I wear this apparatus when going to bed.
