Did you tried to turning the light button on after the LED stop flashing?

It never flashes. It goes on for a few seconds then goes off. It does not react to a light button at all

I am very curious how this ended.
I have the same problem with my Kobo Aura as well, except that i had been poking around in the reset button hole and now another very tiny part has come loose as well. Have tried the solutions suggested but they don't work for me either; for me the led does turn on with the light button and the power button on, but it doesn't get to blinking.
