Also the download links are directly to kobobooks.com, not to any place shady or even any place not officially Kobo. So it's not like you're at any risk to download modified versions by other users that were then uploaded somewhere.

Just to share a bug with you, yesterday I was reading on by Kobo Aura One that received the 4.3.8945 update recently and suddenly my reader switch off I push the power button to wake it up again and 5 minutes after, it switch off again.

Since I was reading in the dark, I was not sure if it was the back light only or a complete hibernate of the reader. And it could be related to my device only or to the firmware update.

IT a MESS! I would advise you to Avoid at ALL Costs! My Collections Vanished! When I finally got them back None of my e-books were put back in them! Time & Date keeps messing up...changing!! grrr I am Not happy with Kobo right now! 20 pages of Empty Collections & over 300+ pages of e-books

I'm pretty sure that the empty collections issue was only present in one of the 4.3 updates and occurred on the next sync to Kobo after the upgrade.

Loosing date/time is an issue I've never heard of on any Kobo and makes me think of a hardware issue.

It's now irrelevant if 4.3.8945 is bug free. There is now a 4.3.8966 firmware.

No, they are interesting an any bugs/gotchas in the new firmware to decide to upgrade or if they get upgraded on a sync, what's there to look out for.
