The light on the PW tends to be a little bluer if anything (& the same with the Glo HD).

However, the clarity and sharpness of the text is far better on the Voyage, as JosieB says the text looks a little lighter on the PW. The screen on the H2O probably looks just as good, but it's a bigger 6.8" screen.
I may just keep it and get used to it as I do like the text and sharpness.

Splotchiness aside, the Voyage looks to be whiter while the PW3 looks yellower, like a Kobo. I have a Glo HD, but wanted to jump into the Kindle bandwagon

I always found the light on the Kobo to be more blue (Aura H2O excepted), maybe it just shows the variance you get in them all! The sharpness and clarity of the text on the Voyage is very good, I'm not sure any other reader beats it in that respect (very close with the H2O) its just a pity about the slight gradient. For me, its still far, far better than the PW2 I used to own, even though it had a very evenly lit screen. I hope you can get used to it, although at the same time I appreciate spending all that money on something you want it to be as close to perfect as possible. That's exactly why it took me a while to try the Voyage

I compared three voyages side by side. They all had the gradient, so I picked the one with the least pronounced gradient. You can play the lottery and hope you get lucky, or live with it, or get something else.

By any chance can you show pictures of all 3?

Im just not sure if mine is the better of the gradients or the one of the worse ones
