not sure if you still need this info, but I put my Kobo Aura in an Ebay-bought Kobo Aura 2 cover (the model is similar to this, not sure about the official ones). The modification I did were making holes for the micro-usb port and the light button. There is an unused hole where the power button ought to be in Aura 2, but overall it works well.

But with that type of cover you need more an exact fit. I checked sometime later in a store where at last where on display, and they don't have exactly the same size, so I don't think they're going to fit, a pity, because kwmobile covers for the first edition are going out of stock, and they are nice.

Yes, not as many in Amazon Spain, and mainly plain colours. What I like of their covers is the different designs, but there aren't many left.
Anyway I don't need one now, I was looking at the Aura Edition 2 covers because those have a working sleep cover, the ones for the edition 1 don't have that functionality. If they fitted it would justify buying a new design as an upgrade 😉
