Good point.

Just a nit, the 1-2% figure fits the majority of Europeans. But humans can have up to 4% Neanderthal genes. I have 3.5%. (I do grunt a lot.)

I have hardly begun reading the book, but wonder about the validity of the first few Amazon 1-star reviews. They sound convincing on their face:
