I'm curious: was the smiley face on the screen itself or on the plastic covering? It looks like it was on the screen (which would make since with an e-ink screen) and if it was that's awesome marketing!

A shame you probably couldn't upgrade older T-models with a higher rez screen like this.

The T series has three or four things wrong with it that makes a hi-res screen update not feasible (even if it was possible).

1. Slow processor
2. slow screen controller
3. Not enough system ram
4. The system software might not understand a higher resolution screen
