=== I don't keep a diary. I try very hard not to be noticed. (Since some time, I'm even using different user names on different forums.) I wouldn't write anything down that I'd not tell you myself. Within a few days you'll know everything there is to know about me because I won't tell you anything else. Last edited by Katsunami; 11-01-2016 at 11:00 AM. |

![]() Set the camera on a tripod, pointing straight down (you'll need an advanced tripod with a boom; Manfrotto and other higher-end brands make those), and then just take pictures. Photographing pages one at a time with a high resolution camera gives you the best quality. Use good lighting, a good camera, and a very sharp lens. After you're done, you can put those pictures into a document and 'print' it to PDF. While having the original diary is best, this will serve as an indestructible backup. Scanning, instead of taking pictures will obviously also work, but it's a lot slower, and you'll have to flatten the diary on the scanner platten, which may not be good for the spine. |

I will have to get a boom. I already have everything else. I take a lot of macro pictures.
