iBooks is part of the iOS system image, since iOS 8.1. I'm not sure how you would determine if it has been updated, there does not seem to be any version number to see anywhere, though Wikipedia says it is now version '4.7 (updated 11 months ago)'. Presumably Apple would announce new iBooks features, in iOS update release notes, if there were any.

In any case, if Wikipedia information is correct and up to date, iOS 10 did not introduce any changes to iBooks.

Oh, OK. I was just looking at the list on the "Updates" page of the App Store app .

Wikipedia, the online encyclopedia written by morons. I wouldn't put much emphasis on anything in that junkapedia.

You may check iBooks version in the Settings App under the iBooks entry. For iOS 9.3.5, the iBooks version is 4.8. What's yours for iOS 10?

Okay, now we are getting somewhere: it is 4.9.1. And the Settings there include Full Justification (default On), Auto-Hyphenation (default On), and Both Margins Advance (default Off).

I would have expected those kinds of settings to be accessible in the app itself, and restrict those found in system Settings to system level things like Notifications, Location permissions, use Cellular data etc. But I think different, in a different way than Apple thinks different.

But, at last I may be correct about something.

That’s pretty much what I am seeing, also find it stupid that these settings are baked into the General Settings app but am fine.
What I am annoyed about is that these settings aren’t working properly...
