How light do you want an e-reader to be?
The KA1 weighs about 230 grams. I suspect that the cover will not be heavier than that. That means the reader+cover weighs under a pound. Several hardcovers I still have easily weigh in at close to three pounds. |

Which I prefer. Onboard storage is easier to use than external. For example, when I plug in a device which has a card, 2 windows pop up, one for the device, one for the card. It can be annoying in many ways. I'd much prefer to have a larger internal storage and no card slot, if possible.

If KA1 is running the system in onboard ram, is it running faster than H2O? |

I would love to buy an Aura One but as the owner of an H2O, I just can't justify or rationalize the purchase. Yes the extra size would be great and the natural lighting would be great but for $250 it's just a non-starter.

Same here. On the bright side, the Overdrive integration (which is what I *really* covet) doesn't work with the Ottawa Public Library, which lowers the longing somewhat. :-D

So far I really like the screen and natural lighting feature of the KA1. They make for a great reading experience. However, I would not recommend buying it until they find a solution for the battery issue principally and to a lesser extent the closed cover tap issue (you close the sleep cover and find page turned or section chosen) and the light sensor issue (light fluctuates at certain points with no changes in ambient lighting). I'm dealing with support on the issues. I'll see what they say.

I've been taking my H2O with me for several oversea trips. I really felt that it is too heavy to hold by one hand for more than half an hour. I love my H2O. But now I am thinking to buy a smaller reader for oversea trips. |
