I agree that is possible as a workaround, though I regularly update all my books and it would be a pain to do that each time (plus I might well stuff that up too!).

I generally prefer to avoid workarounds, because I'd rather identify the problem and a proper way of resolving it - as has happened in this case! Which means I now have a much easier flowline again. If it had been a formatting issue in the docx I'd have probably nuked it (content to notepad then rebuild totally) - but again, would have a simpler flowline. I'm glad I didn't have to do that! Life's complicated enough, being able to simplify system processes whilst maintaining reasonable quality is always my goal.

@kefren,

Just to be clear, as long as that checkbox is ticked, I don't think you need to lower the resolution of your logo if you don't want to.

P.S. If I'd realised you were also a fellow Manc-emigrated-to-somewhere-leafier, I might have answered quicker

Yes, I thought that - then realised I could still drop it by half and lower the filesize slightly, while still showing at the same res (since it only displays small). So it's just tidier. Thanks!

@kefren - you'll probably think me a philistine, with epubs I rip the covers off, move the front matter to the back, and reduce embedded metadata to the absolute minimum

tks for the karma.
