No, it was not and it didn't, unfortunately, completely answer my initial question.

And reading your answer only shows me that you didn't understand my question. So please try to keep a nice attitude and don't accuse me of things.

Thanks everone else for trying to sort out how Calibre handle things. Even if it didn't completely answered my inital question, it did enlighten me about some things. I probably didn't manage to be suffiently specific in my question neither. :-)

Anyway, I end this thread here and will figure out the rest myself.

This is one of three possible solutions. To be fair, this one is maybe the easiest one, but with one down side effect: You will lose the original structure and formatting depending on your setup.

The better way in case of only update a cover is to use Polish Books or Modify EPUB.
