So, you'll buy yourself one and then use Willa's patented "winsome smile"?

I'll be upgrading my H2O, for the size and weight.

My Aura HD is still a beautiful reader and still going strong!
My 59 year old very nearsighted eyes ... not so much. The close vision is going. I'm thinking I want the Aura ONE! Feel so excited about this e-reader! I like the idea of the larger screen, the waterproofing, flush bezel, capacitative touch, Overdrive, bed-time light adjustment, the lot! I resisted on the Aura H2O, there really is nothing wrong with my Aura HD, but I'm due. Bought hubby a Kindle Paperwhite last year (his choice). Now it's my turn! Like a kid in a candy factory! I'm a little worried it may be less comfortable to hold, that's my one and only reservation. Unlike many, I love the back of the Aura HD, very comfortable to me. I will wait for more consumer reviews, but feel fairly sure this will be my next e-reader! Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk |

I'd really like a more recent e-ink screen than that of my Aura HD, but I also really like the 6.8'' format and I'm not sure I'd want something as big as a 7.8'' screen as I carry my reader everyday with me. It's tempting but I'm not convinced yet.

Well... we found out yesterday we got some money back as we used less electricity than originally estimated... This happens to be just a bit more than the cost of that One... Coincidence? Or did it just have to be?

I'm in the starting block for the One.
I have the glo HD which is perfect for a 6" device, and a H2O which was my preferred reader until the glo HD. Unlike many on this forum, I think the screen and lighting quality significantly better in the glo HD, and my small arthritic hands find the size and weight more comfortable, and of course better in transit. BUT, I do most of my reading at home (hours a day - mostly a night), and whether on my sofa where it fits on my thigh, or in bed, I never had problem with the H2O, and the One is lighter. Also, a number of my books NEED the even bigger real estate
Since I read a minimum of 5 hours in 24, and have problem eyes, I would upgrade for the same real estate if there was a significantly better screen, but that is not my main motivation here. Last edited by anacreon; 08-20-2016 at 12:33 PM. |

Oh yeah!
I've got an Aura HD and an Aura. Love the small size of the Aura for tossing in my purse, love the HD because it's a beautiful device to read on. So I'm keeping the Aura too, but...Overdrive! Built in! Waterproof! Yes. Count me in.
