That's definitely a great deal. This past Christmas I bought a brand new Glo HD from Chapters in Canada for $78 USD. Chapters had a discount, plus another 10% discount if you paid with VISA Checkout, add $15 for shipping, but when converted to USD turned out to be only $78 even with the shipping. I couldn't pass that up and bought it as a spare. I honestly felt like I was stealing too at the time .

What affiliate you add will make the difference between getting firmware updates either immediately or months and months later after the release date.

If you want the updates immediately, use affiliate=BestBuyCA for the line in the affiliate.conf file.

If you'd rather wait to get them (gives you a chance to see if there are bugs introduced or other issues), use affiliate=KoboIndigo. It's a simple thing to change that line back to BestBuyCA when you decide you want to download the firmware if you don't want to manually upgrade it.

Enjoy the new reader, I love mine.

I'm one of these strange people that like to have my Readers in pristine condition (or as close to that as possible), so - even though the Reader's screen is perfect - I still don't like the 'used look'. But I'm not complaining; obviously, I bought it and I'm VERY happy.

Stick a decal case on it and you won't notice it any more. You can get plain black.

Why don't you post a picture so we can all see the scratches? I'm curious how it got scratched. I've never scratched up a device.

Yep. BOL.COM is a large Dutch online retailer (pretty much the Dutch equivalent of Amazon). Originally it was Bertelsmann Online (hence BOL, from Bertelsmann OnLine) and it's is now part of the Ahold-Delhaize concern.

And they are indeed a Kobo affiliate; my H2O comes from them.

My H2O comes from Chapters. I think my affiliate might be Kobo. But then, I've only once synced a new firmware when I first got the H2O.

I paid $87 for mine that includes shipping. I bought mine from Chapters. The exchange rate made it a very nice deal. This was back in January. I stuck it in a $10 case I got from Amazon.

It got me reading again after a two year slump. I had given up on eInk after my PW 1

You're probably referring to the 'color bloom'? I had that with my PW1, but with the PW2 (which I still have) that issue disappeared.
