Being from a Math background (tho currently in computers) I don't limit myself to Hex. I like *all* bases. I tend to give my age as 38 base 17.
However, I really don't want to speak in "dozenal". |

Perhaps 'dozen' is just too cutesy. Perhaps we should just leave twelve as twelve and look find some other way than my suggestions (about) for the numbers above twelve.
How about having no 'special' names for the first eleven numbers after twelve. And while we leave twelve as twelve as twelve, we introduce 'doz' (pronounces does/duz) instead of 'ty'. zero, one, two, three....., eleven twelve, onedoz one, onedoz two, onedoz three, ... onedoz eleven twodoz, .... ... elevendoz... gross, one gross and one, ... one gross and twelve, one gross and onedoz one,... eleven gross,....eleven gross and elevendoz eleven, Hmm.... |
